Weekend Competitions

18 hole Club Com­pe­ti­tions are played every Sat­ur­day, Sun­day and Pub­lic Hol­i­day [except Christ­mas Day] sub­ject to major event dates. Vis­i­tors with World Handicap System hand­i­caps are wel­come to participate

WAGS (Wednesday Afternoon Golf Society)

A 9 hole fun Sta­ble­ford com­pe­ti­tion is con­duct­ed every Wednes­day after­noon between 2.00pm and 4.00pm. WAGS hand­i­caps are adjust­ed com­men­su­rate with each week’s win­nings [or los­ings]. Local non-mem­bers and vis­i­tors [male & female] are wel­come to attend on pay­ment of green fees. Hand­i­caps will be allo­cat­ed by pro-shop staff.

5 after 4 on Thursdays (coming soon)

A 5 hole fun Sta­ble­ford com­pe­ti­tion every Thurs­day after­noon from 4.00pm. Hand­i­caps are adjust­ed com­men­su­rate with each week’s win­nings [or los­ings]. Local non-mem­bers and vis­i­tors [male & female] are wel­come to attend on pay­ment of green fees. Hand­i­caps will be allo­cat­ed by pro-shop staff.

Red Centre Teams

A 9 hole mod­i­fied golf com­pe­ti­tion made up of teams of 7 play­ers who play as a team against oth­er teams in the com­pe­ti­tion. Your 9 hole round can be played any day of the week at a time suit­able for you. Red Cen­tre Teams is designed for all social golfers using the Cal­loway hand­i­cap­ping sys­tem for those with­out a hand­i­cap (you don’t need a Golf Aus­tralia (GA) hand­i­cap to take part). Veteran Golfer’s Club

The Alice Springs Vet­er­an Golfers’ Club [the Dinosaurs] holds its week­ly 9 hole Sta­ble­ford com­pe­ti­tion every Tues­day after­noon between 2.30pm and 4.00pm. This is a com­bined com­pe­ti­tion with local mem­bers of the NT Senior Wom­en’s Golf Asso­ci­a­tion. Vets’ hand­i­caps accrue in a sim­i­lar fash­ion to WAGS hand­i­caps. Male vis­i­tors [55 yrs +] and female vis­i­tors [50 yrs +] are wel­come to attend on pay­ment of green fees. Hand­i­caps are deter­mined by our Dinosaur Captain.

Ladies Competition

Every Thurs­day morn­ing at 8.30am [sum­mer] or 9.00am [win­ter], the ladies con­duct a 9 hole Sta­ble­ford com­pe­ti­tion. Hand­i­caps are deter­mined in a par­tic­u­lar­ly female fash­ion. Vis­i­tors are welcome. Cake is highly likely to be provided!

NT Police Golf Club

The Alice Springs branch of the NT Police Golf Club plays its week­ly 9 hole com­pe­ti­tion on Tuesday afternoons after 3pm. Mem­bers and guests may play at any time through the day. The for­mat is usu­al­ly Sta­ble­ford with hand­i­caps adjust­ed week­ly in a sim­i­lar mode to WAGS. Month­ly Medal events are played on the first Mon­day of the month when play­ers use their GA hand­i­caps or offi­cial Police Golf hand­i­caps. An annu­al Ter­ri­­to­ry-wide NT Police Golf Cham­pi­onship is played over a nom­i­nat­ed 4 week peri­od dur­ing the year when, once again, GA or offi­cial hand­i­caps apply.
